For the Weeks of Oct 22nd and Oct 31 We’re continuing our exploration of the habits, Healthier Eating Guidelines: and Plant Based Diet. --Please read pp. 18 - 60 in your Ayurvedic Cooking for Self-Healing book. --Please spend some time with your cookbook, and look at the section on stocking an Ayurvedic kitchen. Look over the menus for fall, and find something you’d like to cook. --Please read/review chapters 5 and 8 in Body Thrive and we'll begin the conversation on these next Wednesday. --Read through these handouts and fill in the worksheets to explore your relationship to food at this time. --Let us know how you’re doing on the forum.

Reading and Practice for week of Oct 10th 1. Read/Revisit Habits 4 and 7 in Body Thrive 2. Create a daily practice, and practice daily for 15 minutes: 1/2 movement and 1/2 sitting in silence. 3. Print out and study this chart describing the location and function of the 5 prana vayus (life-force winds). 4. Listen to this 45 minute podcast with Cate Stillman interviewing yoga teacher Rod Stryker, speaks to these and how to go about aligning our lives with our soul’s intention. Also, don’t start the day with coffee or tea doesn’t mean you can’t have it. It just means, hydrate and move around a bit first. Coffee is best enjioyed with food nless your having a latte or chai, and then the milk is a food.
