Feb. 3rd - 10th, 2024
with Shannon McCall and special guest, David Seborer

Only 2 Spaces Left for this retreat!

Join us for a renewing yoga and meditation retreat in beautiful Baja, Mexico.

February is a fantastic time to be in Baja. The weather is warm but not too hot. The whales are migrating down the Pacific coast, and a the desert light and space is a truly magical experience.

We’ll enjoy 3 sessions a day.

The morning’s practice will include a slow flow of postures designed to support whole-bodied awareness, maintain healthy joints, and circulate breath from the core to the periphery and back again.

We'll meet a second time for guided meditation/deep relaxation or yoga nidra before lunch.

David will lead the late afternoon yin practice. His instruction will support students in awakening direct sensing perception of their body and harmonizing the flow of prana throughout.
David will highlight a few particular sections of the body, which will become anchor points for our deeper sense of embodiment. This experiential anatomy includes mindfulness and learning how to sense our body from the inside out. Guided self-massage will round out the afternoon practice.

We'll offer an optional silent meditation, with some initial guidance, some evenings after dinner.

Group Sunrise meditations and sunsets will be a highlight of our time together.

Those who wish to deepen their retreat may choose to stay put on the beautiful, serene property, enjoying walks on the private beach, time sitting by the ocean, or swimming in the salt water pool. There is a large hot tub and a sauna to enjoy, and these are all available 24/7. Though we recommend taking a break as much as possible from internet, there is a pretty good signal available in various parts of the center.

For those who want to enjoy some activities beyond the retreat,  Prana del Mar offers many options from horseback riding on the beach, to a visit to the local surfing/swimming beach, to whale watching and more. Massage and other spa treatments are also available. You'll be able to arrange for any of these extra excursions or services when you arrive at Prana del Mar.

There are neighboring horses, donkeys and goats that wander by daily Whales are often swimming daily right out in front of the center. The presence of the Desert and all of her flora and fauna are a magical part of time at the center.

The food at Prana del Mar is exquisitely prepared and served, including lots of fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, freshly made soups, and gluten and dairy free options. Fish, eggs and dairy are served and vegan preferences as well.  All the produce is purified and purified drinking water is plentiful in each room and around the center.

"The Baja Mexico retreat touches everyone who participates. The retreat center is gorgeous, spacious and serves delicious and creative fare. Shannon’s yoga practices help the group acclimate to the high temperatures and dry air.  She models how to respect your body, even in its crankiness. She puts her stamp on the workshop with a unique mix of thoughtfully taught asanas.  I loved  relaxing into  the sun, warmth, and physical beauty of the flora and fauna of desert life while learning about the places in my body  that needed more support. I made wonderful connections within myself and  with a lovely collective of yoga friends. What a glorious experience! "
