Hi, I'm Shannon McCall

Board Certified Ayurveda Practitioner (NAMA), Registered Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Certified Health Coach and Holistic Health Guide

I teach yoga, meditation, diet and lifestyle to support radiant health, happiness and wellbeing. Ayurveda recognizes the uniqueness of the individual. When you understand your unique nature, you're better able to align your choices with what really serves your nature.

For over 35 years I've  trained and lived a life with yoga, meditation and  Ayurveda  at the center. I take great joy in sharing the practices that have fostered my own personal healing and growth, tailored to your unique needs.

I believe that the real teacher is within. I also believe that our bodies and psyches are designed to heal and evolve. I function as a guide to support you in learning the practices that help align you with natural rhythms, tailored to your unique nature.  These practices clear blockages, nourish vitality, and bring clarity which allows for your innate body wisdom to shine though clearly. I come to these beliefs through a childhood riddled with divorce, mental illness, alcoholism and depression. That early suffering  ignited a deep desire within me to learn what life is really about, how to heal and transform personal suffering, (something I didn't know was possible when I started ), and how to live an integrated life grounded in truth, beauty and care. I'm here to help.

ABOUT

I offer  yoga and meditation classes, retreats and Ayurvedic consultations and seasonal cleanses. I specialize in leading  groups in the daily rituals that bring long term health and happiness in the body, mind and spirit. I believe we are best served in a group context where we have the teachings, the guide and the community  together to support each individual's growth and change. So much more happens when we put ourselves in a context where everyone is moving in the same direction, working on their individual path, in service of the greater good in society. Ayurveda are in service of us in relationship to the rest of the world.

I am indebted to my teachers who have taught and mentored me including Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Claudia Welch, Dr. Scott Blossom, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten, and my teachers in the Ridhwan school. Not only have they guided me in learning and teaching the practices of these great traditions but they've also helped reveal the inner teacher, and demonstrated that love is the real medicine.

In addition to yoga and ayurveda, I've trained and have certifications in Authentic Movement, Health Coaching and I've spent more than a dozen years in the Ridhwan school, a spiritual community dedicated to psycho-spiritual development and the realization of Being through the practice of self-inquiry and meditation.

I've traveled all over the South Pacific and Southeast Asia and spent many months a year on the island of Bali through the 90′s where I developed a very deep connection with the people of Sayan Village near Ubud and taught and trained yoga students.  I am mother to a now grown son, who is also a trained yoga teacher.
