Hi, I'm Shannon McCall
Ayurveda Practitioner, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Retreat Leader
I've been on the path of yoga for 40 years and discovered Ayurveda 35 years ago. Both have informed my life as a young woman, new mother, through perimenopause and now post menopause. I can't imagine my life today without the orientation these paths have given me nor the practices that have supported me through countless transitions, and into life today as a version 6.0.
The power of the teachings, tailored to the individual, within a group of other like-minded souls, is the most powerful way I've found to heal, learn and grow. I offer yoga and Ayurveda groups for women in mid life and beyond who want and need to transform their health on all levels. My focus is on teaching and living the foundational practices (dinacharya = daily rhythm and rtucharya = seasonal rhythm) in order to transform and heal. If you're drawn to Natural healing and you know you could be living in deeper alignment with your own organism, Ayurveda may be a good path for you.
All of my yoga teachings are tailored to mature bodies, with a deep focus on energetics and sustainable movement in mid life and beyond. I offer seasonal yoga on zoom and seasonal yoga and Ayurveda retreats in beautiful places.
After working with me, women report feeling more in touch with themselves, a return to their own deep wisdom, and more capacity to make the changes they've been wanting to make in a spirit of self-compassion and self-love.
ABOUT
IWith deep gratitude, I bow to the many wise teachers I've been privileged to learn with and from over many decades. Foremost among these are Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. Claudia Welch, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Dr. Scott Blossom, Reggie Ray, Angela Farmer, Victor van Kooten, Ana Forrest, Jeanne Castle, Janet Adler, My many teachers in the Ridhwan School (Diamond Approach) and Lama Tsultrim Allione.
I am a writer, mother, holistic healer, yogini, life-long learner and traveler, and lover of good company. I lived part time on Bali during the 1990's for most of a decade, and have traveled extensively through SE Asia, India and the South Pacific. I believe Nature is the ultimate healer and I align with Her rhythms as much as possible. It is my privilege to learn and grow together with others drawn to holistic health, healing and psycho-spiritual transformation in the service of collective healing and evolution.
