Mary mentioned taping her mouth closed during sleep to promote better breathing, as suggested by many who study the breath to prevent sleep apnea. You can also simply place a small piece of body tape (what you might use to tape an ankel, to tape your lips together.

Here's a link to a mouth tape I've been using that uses elastic to go around your mouth to keep from being able to easily open your mouth:
